PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Rhode Island’s all-Democratic congressional delegation has slammed Republican President Donald Trump’s plan to declare a national emergency to build a wall along the southern border.

U.S. Sen. Jack Reed called the move “extreme, illogical, and legally dubious” in an emailed statement.

Reed says there is no security emergency at the border, and that Trump’s actions could spark a “humanitarian and constitutional crisis.”
