BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) - An executive order issued by Florida’s governor shows that a South Florida lawmaker is being investigated for petit theft, trespassing and criminal mischief.

The investigation into Democratic Florida Rep. Emily Slosberg came to light Friday after the order was posted on Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’ website.

The order requests that the investigation be transferred from the prosecutor’s office in West Palm Beach to the one in Fort Lauderdale. It says State Attorney David Aronberg asked for the transfer since he has a close working relationship with Slosberg and wanted to avoid a conflict of interest.
