TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Motorists are seeing prices at the pump dip a bit in New Jersey and around the nation.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $2.56, a penny lower than a week ago. Drivers were paying $2.49 a gallon at this time a year ago.
The national average gas price Friday was $2.58, down 4 cents from last week. Last year at this time, motorists were paying $2.44 a gallon.
Analysts say gasoline stocks have steadily increased in recent weeks as demand slows following the busy Thanksgiving weekend, but they warn that rising crude prices may mean some volatility in prices.
