BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota’s river otter trapping season is over.

The state Game and Fish Department announced Thursday that the season is closed immediately. The department says the statewide season’s predetermined harvest limit of 20 has been reached.

Last year’s harvest limit was 15 otters.

Only North Dakota residents were eligible to participate. The season limit was one otter per trapper.
