SUMMIT, N.J. (AP) - A pediatric gastroenterologist accused of sexually assaulting a patient for several years is now facing similar charges involving two other patients.
Union County prosecutors say Michael Tyshkov now faces three counts of criminal sexual contact, two counts of sexual assault and a child endangerment charge. They also say it’s “strongly believed” there may be more victims associated with the 65-year-old Livingston resident.
Tyshkov was accused earlier this year of assaulting a longtime female patient during medical exams at his practice in Summit. Prosecutors say those assaults occurred between April 2016 and March 2019.
Prosecutors announced Friday that Tyshkov is now facing charges involving two other female patients for incidents that occurred during a four-month period in 2017. They say the victims were 16 and 19 at the time.
It’s not known if Tyshkov has retained an attorney.
