TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - A glider pilot who died after crashing southeast of Tacoma last weekend has been identified as 71-year-old John Michael Cook.

The Olympian reports Cook, of Yelm, took off from Enumclaw Sunday and clipped several trees before crashing near Buckley.

East Pierce Fire & Rescue says he was the only one on board.
