Los Angeles Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins tore his ACL while working out in Las Vegas this week, reports said Thursday.
Cousins, who signed with the Lakers this summer after playing one season with Golden State, could now miss a significant portion of the 2019-20 season.
ESPN first reported that Cousins suffered a “possible knee injury” due to “bumping knees” with another player on the court where he was practicing. The Athletic later reported it was a torn ACL.

Cousins only played 30 games and eight playoff games for the Warriors last year as he dealt with a ruptured Achilles tendon, then a torn left quad.
