ST. LOUIS (AP) - A judge has ordered St. Louis’ top prosecutor to hand turn over documents requested by a special prosecutor investigating her office.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Circuit Judge Michael Mullen on Monday ordered Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner to provide user names and passwords so that city police can seize records from the office’s server. The decision followed weeks of court battles.

Later Monday, police seized the server.

A search warrant seeks six months of emails and other electronic data as part of a perjury investigation of William Tisaby, hired by Gardner last year to investigate former Gov. Eric Greitens.

Gardner has called it burdensome and unconstitutionally broad.

Greitens was charged with invasion of privacy in February 2018. Charges were eventually dropped, but he resigned in June.
