LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a 75-year-old security guard has died after he was shot while patrolling an apartment complex in southeast Las Vegas.
Las Vegas police were called to the apartment complex Monday night after the man was found bleeding and unconscious in the parking lot.
The man was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the man was not armed.
Detectives interviewed several people who said they heard gunshots about a half-hour before the man was found.
The Clark County coroner will release the man’s name after family is notified of the death.
Police say the shooter has not been identified and the motive is unknown.
