GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Glendale say a baby has died after being found inside a car on a hot day.

They say the 1½-year-old girl wasn’t breathing when officers arrived on the scene Monday afternoon when the temperature outside was in the upper 80s.

Police say the child was found unresponsive in a car parked at an apartment complex, but it’s unclear how long she had been inside the vehicle.

The name of the baby wasn’t immediately released.

Police say detectives are investigating the death.
