MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (AP) - One of two brothers convicted in the beating death of an acquaintance whose body was buried in the backyard of a New Jersey home has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Twenty-nine-year-old Christopher Costello was convicted in August of first-degree aggravated manslaughter in the October 2016 bludgeoning death of 23-year-old Justin Dubois. He was convicted of desecrating human remains and hindering apprehension in an earlier Burlington County trial.

Twenty-six-year-old Bryan Costello was sentenced in June to 15 years after pleading guilty to aggravated manslaughter. He said he killed DuBois with a baseball bat and he and his brother buried the body at the family’s Lumberton home.
