The bad blood between President Trump and Michael Avenatti thickened on Wednesday as the two take shots at each other over new sexual assault allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Mr. Avenatti announced on Twitter that his new client was Julie Swetnick, who had new and graphic allegations against Mr. Trump’s Supreme Court pick Judge Kavanaugh.

Mr. Trump made the first hit, coming to the defense of Judge Kavanaugh while slamming Mr. Avenatti as a “third rate lawyer.”

The president accused Mr. Avenatti of making up false allegations against his Supreme Court nominee, “like he did on me.” Mr. Avenatti also represents Stephanie Clifford — better known by her adult film persona Stormy Daniels —who claims to have had an affair with the president.

Mr. Avenatti fired back and called Mr. Trump, “an habitual liar and complete narcissist who also is a disgrace as a president and an embarrassment to our nation.”

Ms. Swetnickalleged that Judge Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge “were present” while she was raped by multiple boys. She claimed that the “gang rapes” were a common occurrence, one that both Judge Kavanaugh and Mr. Judge were a part of.

Mr. Avenatti became a “resistance” hero against the Trump administration while representing Ms. Clifford in her lawsuit against the president.

Mr. Cohen pled guilty to charges related to a hush money payment in August and said it was directed by Mr. Trump.
