BRUCETON MILLS, W.Va. (AP) - Authorities say an inmate at a federal prison in West Virginia has been killed in a fight with another prisoner.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons release says the fight happened Monday at the U.S. Penitentiary at Hazelton. It says 27-year-old inmate Demario Porter was pronounced dead at a hospital. The other inmate, who was not identified, was treated for minor injuries.
Porter had arrived at the prison on Sept. 6 to serve a 26-month sentence for a parole violation. His death is the second death at the prison this year. Another inmate was killed in a fight in April.
