WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a Detroit-area woman called police to say she had killed her husband in the home they shared with their young son.
Waterford Township Police Chief Scott Underwood said officers found the body of the 45-year-old man in the backyard Friday and arrested the 51-year-old woman. He adds the son was unharmed and is with family members.
Underwood says in a release that a semi-automatic handgun was recovered.
