President Trump cheered the Senate for voting to move Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination forward on Friday.

With a 51-49 affirmative cloture vote, the Senate started the clock on the final vote to determine if Judge Kavanaugh will join the Supreme Court.

Out of the three undecided Republicans, both Sen. Jeff Flake and Sen. Susan Collins backed advancing the nomination. While Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin joined the GOP, Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski broke with her party and voted against.

The final vote is expected to take place on Saturday.
