PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) - A lawsuit over sexual harassment allegations against a prosecutor running for re-election in Washington state will proceed to trial following the Nov. 6 election.
The Peninsula Daily News reports a federal judge last week rejected Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Nichols’ request for a summary judgment, deciding the case should go before a jury in December.
Nichols’ former office manager filed the sexual harassment complaint in June 2017, claiming she repeatedly rejected the prosecutor’s advances for two years and she was denied a pay raise because of the rejections.

Nichols did not return the newspaper’s calls for comment Friday.
His attorney Suzanne Kelly Michael disputed the allegations, saying Nichols was interested in a romantic relationship but stopped the pursuit after the employee said she wasn’t interested.
