NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - More than 40 people have been arrested as several Delaware law enforcement agencies participated in an eight-hour “crime blitz” in and around New Castle.
The Delaware State Police announced Sunday the results of the operation designed to target criminal activity along the Route 13 and 40 corridor, as well as along Route 9.
A police release says Thursday’s efforts led to the clearance of nearly 80 active warrants and seizure of illegal drugs, suspected drug sale proceeds and a handgun. Two Wilmington men were identified as the subject of significant felonious arrests. They were charged with heroin, cocaine or marijuana-related crimes. One was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
