MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Police in New Hampshire say a driver is accused of passing out from a heroin overdose and crashing into a pedestrian, pinning him against a tree.
Police in Manchester say the pedestrian suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries to his hip Thursday. He was taken to a hospital.
Police said the unresponsive driver was given an opioid-overdose antidote before he was taken into custody. They said 24-year-old Matthew Pike, of Northfield, New Hampshire, was charged with reckless conduct, possession of a controlled drug, and operating under the influence of drugs. He was held on an outstanding warrant.
