MERIDIAN, Miss. (AP) - Fire has destroyed an abandoned building in the downtown of one Mississippi city.
News outlets report that flames quickly ate through the building in Meridian on Wednesday morning. Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to other structures.
The remains of the building were torn down.
Kenny Watson, one of the city’s fire investigators, says it could take days to determine what started the fire.
