The Dallas Cowboys will look a bit different the next time they face the Washington Redskins.
Fresh off Sunday’s 20-17 loss to the Redskins, the Cowboys dealt a 2019 first-round pick Monday to the Oakland Raiders for wideout Amari Cooper.
The move immediately gives the Cowboys (3-4) help at the position, as well as a No.1 receiver. The Cowboys’ passing attack has underwhelmed this season — ranking 29th in passing yards per game.
Cooper, who has 22 catches for 280 yards, is off to a slow start in 2018. But the 2015 first-rounder posted more than 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons.
Oakland, meanwhile, now has three first-round picks in this upcoming draft.
Last month, the Raiders traded star pass rusher Khalil Mack, a second-round pick and a conditional fifth round pick to the Chicago Bears in exchange for two first-round picks (2019 and 2020), a third-round pick in 2020 and a sixth-round pick in 2019.
The Redskins, who had also reportedly inquired about trading for Cooper, next face the Cowboys again in Week 11 on Thanksgiving.
