CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire officials who are developing the state’s 10-year mental health plan are rescheduling their final information session.
The Department of Health and Human Services has been holding a series of discussions around the state in the last month. The final session had been set for Thursday in Concord, but it has been rescheduled for Nov. 15. Officials say that will allow the department to incorporate feedback received during previous sessions, and will give the public time to review a proposed draft of the plan that is set to be released around Oct. 29.
Since the last 10-year plan, the state has grappling with the impact of the opioid epidemic while demand for inpatient psychiatric treatment services continues to grow.
