STILWELL, Okla. (AP) - Adair County prosecutors have filed misdemeanor charges against two current and one former Oklahoma law enforcement officers accused of assaulting a suspect in a traffic stop.

Adair County court records indicate assault and battery charges were filed on Wednesday against two Stilwell police officers, 60-year-old Glenn James and 49-year-old Curtis R. Jordan, both of Stilwell, and 49-year-old former Adair County Sheriff’s Deputy Robert McClure of Grove. Court records do not indicate that the men are represented by an attorney who could speak on their behalf.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says the charges involve the arrest of a suspect in a vehicle pursuit in November 2017. The suspect’s name and other details were not released.
