CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police say four people in Tennessee have been injured in a dog attack.
Clarksville Police Department spokesman Jim Knoll told The Leaf-Chronicle that officers were called to the scene Monday and found four adult victims outside a mobile home “with dog bites of varying severity.”
He said based on statements from witnesses and victims, the pit bull dog initially attacked a 20-year-old man and the others were injured trying to help him. They were able to contain the dog in the mobile home.
Three of the injured were taken to a hospital for treatment, but the 20-year-old man declined to be transported.
The newspaper reports that Montgomery County Animal Care and Control took custody of the dog.
