CASTANA, Iowa (AP) - A man has been accused of killing his grandmother in western Iowa.
Monona County court records say 20-year-old Eliot Stowe is charged with first-degree murder and is being held in the county jail. His attorney didn’t immediately return a message left Wednesday by The Associated Press.
The Iowa Public Safety Department says Stowe had been living with 66-year-old Cheryl Stowe. Her body was found June 27 about a mile and a half (3 kilometers) from her home northwest of Castana. The department didn’t provide any details what led to her death or how she was killed.
