ST. LOUIS (AP) - A suspect is in custody after an officer-involved shooting and standoff at a St. Louis County apartment complex.
Police say a man assaulted a female officer who was on patrol around 11 a.m. Tuesday in north St. Louis County. The officer fired at least one shot, but the suspect wasn’t hit.
The suspect went into an apartment for several hours as police surrounded the complex. He was taken into custody around 3 p.m.
The officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the assault. Police say she was taken to a hospital.
