CLEVELAND (AP) - A man dubbed one of Cleveland’s most notorious landlords has been sentenced to six months in jail.
Housing Court Judge Ron O’Leary sentenced Graig Brown Thursday, also ordering him to pay fines and to complete community service. The Plain Dealer reports Brown was convicted of failure to file a certificate of disclosure.
Authorities say Brown long eluded answering in court for nine criminal housing court cases involving his properties or more than a dozen civil cases and judgments he owes to former tenants.

Brown’s attorney objected to the judge taking into consideration other court cases related to Brown’s properties, but the judge says his conviction directly related to his activities as a landlord.
