Homicide under investigation in southeast Missouri

BISMARCK, Mo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a woman’s death in southeast Missouri as a homicide.

KFVS-TV reports that the 67-year-old woman was found dead Sunday afternoon in her home in the St. Francois County town of Bismarck. Police and the sheriff’s department say evidence at the scene indicates the death was a homicide. A person of interest is in custody.

No other details were immediately released, including the name of the victim.
