Snoop Dogg has lashed out with an “all white” Photoshop attack on fellow rapper Kanye West for his support of President Trump.
The fallout from Mr. West’s public “love” for the commander in chief’s “dragon energy” continued on Thursday with a racially charged Instagram message for his 23 million followers. Snoop Dogg’s “new” version of the Yeezy brand entrepreneur came three days after former Snoop Dogg associate and rapper Daz Dillinger called for “all the Crips” to “F— his a— up.”
Multiple readers noted that Snoop Dogg’s post validated Mr. West’s core claim: Minorities, particularly black Americans, are pressured to accept left-wing politics without question.
“You’re making his point for him, genius,” wrote one user.
“Do you think this is good for the black community?” asked another. “Is any of this going to help anyone? Its very divisive, making it us and them black and white isn’t going to end well. Its time to listen to people with different views because let’s face [it]: Democrats haven’t done much for you!”
Black conservative radio host Larry Elder also weighed in on Twitter.
“So if @kanyewest supports @realDonaldTrump, West, a black man, suddenly morphs into a white man?!? But none on the left dare call @SnoopDogg a “BIGOT.”#TheAwakening,” he wrote.
Snoop Dogg’s post also came in conjunction with the release of a new Reuters poll showing a doubling of support for Mr. Trump among black men in the last week.
An April 29 poll found 22 percent of black males approved of the president’s job performance, a spike from 11 percent one week earlier.
