ASHBURN — Redskins linebacker Zach Brown missed Wednesday’s session of OTAs after being absent last week, as well.
Last Wednesday, coach Jay Gruden told reporters that Brown was in the process of moving, which is why he wasn’t available.
Asked if he was still moving, Gruden said, “I guess so.”
Brown doesn’t have to show up as these sessions are voluntary. He will have to report to veteran minicamp June 12.
“I just worry about the guys that are here,” Gruden said. “We’ve got a pretty good group of guys that are here. There are only a couple who aren’t here. And the guys that are here have bought in and are working extremely hard to get better.”
In March, Brown signed a new three-year, $24 million contract after a successful 2017 where he led the team in tackles.
The Redskins had initially signed Brown to a one-year deal in April 2017, which proved to be one of the better bargains in the league.
Brown, though, missed the last three games of the season with a foot injury.
Besides the linebacker, here are the other players who missed practice Wednesday:
- Defensive tackle Phil Taylor (quadriceps)
- Defensive lineman Stacy McGee (unknown)
- Guard Tyler Catalina (foot)
- Running back Kapri Bibbs (soft tissue)
- Running back Keith Marshall (unknown absence)
- Running back Chris Thompson (leg)
- Tackle Morgan Moses (ankle)
- Tackle Trent Williams (knee)
- Tackle T.J. Clemmings (ankle)
- Tackle Ty Nsekhe (knee)
- Tight end Jordan Reed (toe)
- Tight end Manasseh Garner (unknown injury)
