LINCOLN, R.I. (AP) - Prosecutors say the suspect in a Rhode Island shooting earlier this week also committed a sexual assault earlier the same night.
Sean Almeida-Brown was held without bail on several charges at his arraignment on Wednesday, including first-degree domestic sexual assault, kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon. He did not enter a plea.
Woonsocket police say the 22-year-old Almeida-Brown picked up an ex-girlfriend on Monday, and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint at his Woonsocket home.

Police say Almeida-Brown then pretended to be the woman to set up a meeting with a 22-year-old man she knows outside a Lincoln apartment building Monday night where he shot and robbed the man.
Police say both victims are recovering.
The suspect’s court-appointed attorney did not comment.
