LILLINGTON, N.C. (AP) - A North Carolina family is accused of chasing and capturing a man.

The Fayetteville Observer cites a Harnett County Sheriff’s Office release that says a family chased Justin Emmons on foot while shooting at him on March 15. It’s unclear what triggered the shooting.

Emmons tried to leave the area in a car, but 56-year-old Marc Christian Gettleman Sr., 59-year-old Darlene Rowena Gettleman and their son tried to block him with their car, causing a wreck. It says the Gettlemans then drew their weapons and handcuffed Emmons. Emmons contacted his family who arrived as the Gettlemans fled.
