PHOENIX (AP) - A consent judgment resolving a consumer-fraud lawsuit bans a Phoenix-based carpet-cleaning company from making telemarketing calls for six years and requires it to pay $1 million in civil penalties.

The Arizona Attorney General’s Office says the consent judgment it reached with Adobe Carpet Cleaning LLC stems from the company making illegal telemarketing calls by repeatedly calling consumers on the Federal Trade Commission’s “Do Not Call” registry.
