Former Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins will sign with a new team soon — probably for the richest contract in NFL history — and a camera crew will film the process, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

“We are opening up our home to allow a behind-the-scenes look into what really transpires before the contract number scrolls across the bottom line of ESPN,” Cousins told ESPN.

The plan is to air the footage somewhere after he signs with a new team, perhaps on social media. It’s unknown how long the film will be or whether it will be broken into a series of short films.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady recently did something similar by having a filmmaker follow him, including at home, for a documentary called “Tom vs. Time.”

It’s been widely reported that Cousins’ final four options were the Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals. With the report that the Broncos intend to sign quarterback Case Keenum instead, Cousins’ list is likely down to three.
