After winning the Stanley Cup, the Washington Capitals will hold their victory parade Tuesday in the District.
The parade begins at 11 a.m. and will start at Constitution Avenue and 17th Street NW, move along Constitution Avenue and end at 7th Street NW near the National Mall.
Monumental Sports and Entertainment, who owns the Capitals, submitted a permit application for the parade Thursday. The team plans to have a stage at the center of the National Mall, between Madison and Jefferson Drives, for a rally at the end of the parade.
The parade is free, and open to the public. Fans are encouraged to take Metro or rideshare as parking will be limited.
More than 100,000 fans are expected to attend.
