Police: Boy found in pond in Sandy in critical condition

SANDY, Utah (AP) - Authorities say a 1-year-old boy is in critical condition after nearly drowning in a pond in Sandy.

KSL-TV reports family members found the boy in a pond on Wednesday night.

Sandy Police Sgt. Jason Nielsen says the boy was flown in a medical helicopter to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City.

He was in critical condition as of Wednesday night.
