DALLAS, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a tractor-trailer driver was killed in a construction area in Georgia.
News outlets report that 52-year-old Daniel Deiter, of Cornelia, was killed in the accident on Wednesday afternoon. Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Ashley Henson says the incident happened in a construction area near Dallas.
Investigators believe Deiter was working on top of the tractor-trailer when it began to roll backward. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Deiter lost his footing and fell off the trailer, which rolled over him.
