COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A Colorado Springs man has been sentenced to life in prison for the death of a drug dealer who prosecutors say was pistol-whipped, driven to an abandoned building and shot at least 13 times for slipping up on the job.

KRDO-TV reports 26-year-old Anthony Loya was sentenced to life in prison without parole Monday.

Authorities say 23-year-old Lawrence Gloster was targeted for losing less than $100 worth of methamphetamine when he dropped it onto a customer’s lap.

Jurors said although Loya did not pull the trigger, he is still guilty because he cooperated with the plan and did not do anything to stop it.

Loya’s boss, Jorge Galvan-Flores, was sentenced earlier this year to life in prison without parole on allegations that he ordered the death.
