BROOKLYN, Miss. (AP) - Officials say a woman was taken to a hospital after a diving incident in a Mississippi creek.

Forrest County Fire Coordinator Chip Brown says the woman drove into shallow water at Black Creek in Brooklyn. WDAM-TV reported Saturday that witnesses told Brown that the woman had jumped off a log.

Brown says rescue crews were unable to get to the woman due to her location on the creek. Officials say the woman was taken upstream, where a Rescue 7 helicopter later took her to a hospital.
