CAMDEN, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a South Carolina woman has been charged with murder in the death of another woman found dead inside her car at an intersection.
Kershaw County Chief Deputy Jack Rushing said deputies matched the bullet that killed Brenda Coates on Sunday with a gun found in the suspect’s car.
Rushing says witnesses also told deputies that they saw Stacey Catoe’s car driving away from the shooting.

Rushing said in a release investigators couldn’t find Catoe, but got a search warrant for her car and found the gun used in the killing inside. The chief deputy didn’t give a motive for the killing.
Rushing says Catoe turned herself in Thursday with her lawyers, but didn’t answer an email asking the names of those attorneys. Court records also didn’t name them.
