APOLLO, Pa. (AP) - A home health nurse in western Pennsylvania has been charged with illegally taking thousands of dollars from a client.
Fifty-three-year-old Cathy Lynne Mack of Apollo was charged Monday with multiple offenses including felony counts of burglary and forgery.
Police say a Washington Township man last year reported two checks written to Mack from his account. Investigators allege that she took more than $5,000 via fraudulent checks and a credit card opened in the victim’s name, and also drove his car without permission to South Carolina for a vacation with some of the stolen funds.

Mack waived her right to a Westmoreland County preliminary hearing and was freed pending an Aug. 29 arraignment. Court documents don’t list an attorney representing her and a listed number in her name had been disconnected.
