2 men in court charged with separate overdose deaths

BARRE, Vt. (AP) - Two men are charged in connection with two separate overdose deaths in Barre this year.

Barre police say 26-year-old Shawn Fordham gave 33-year-old Kristina Gauthier a fatal dose of drugs. WCAX-TV reports Gauthier was found dead on March 1.

Also in court Thursday was 21-year-old Anthony Milo, who is being charged in connection with the overdose death of Jesse Eklund. Eklund was found dead on May 21 from an overdose, and police say Milo provided the drugs.

Both men were ordered held for lack of bail.

It was not immediately known if they are being represented by attorneys.
