NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Two men have been indicted on second-degree murder charges in connection with what prosecutors said was a retribution shooting that happened Easter Sunday in New Orleans.
District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro’s office says 29-year-old Gerald Barnes and 48-year-old Christopher Patterson were charged Thursday.
The victim was 23-year-old Alfred Johnson IV, who died during a gunfight in a pharmacy parking lot in New Orleans’ Gentilly area. Cannizzaro’s office says Patterson sought retribution because he believed his daughter had been assaulted after arguing with Johnson.
