FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - A North Carolina man has been charged by authorities in the kidnapping of a mother and her 3-month-old child.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says in a news release 18-year-old Delano R. McLean is charged with first-degree kidnapping, second-degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation, breaking and entering to terrorize and violation of a domestic violence protection order.
The sheriff’s office said the woman and her child are reported to be in good physical condition.

According to investigators, McLean entered a home through a window Sunday, forced the mother and child into her car and left with them.
Authorities have not released a motive.
