BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — A Connecticut man who participated in a burglary at a gun shop in which four weapons were stolen has been sentenced to nearly nine years in prison.
Federal prosecutors say 26-year-old Michael Henderson, of New Haven, was sentenced Thursday to eight years and nine months behind bars, three years of probation, and ordered to pay more than $50,000 in restitution.
Authorities say a stolen car was deliberately crashed through the front door of the Woodbridge Firearms Trading Post LLC, at about 3 a.m. on June 17, 2015, and the handguns were taken from a glass case. No one was in the area by the time police arrived, but Henderson was linked to the scene through fingerprints and DNA and arrested several months later.
