GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — Corey Zangari hit two home runs, and Spencer Moran allowed just five hits over seven innings as the Great Falls Voyagers topped the Orem Owlz 6-1 on Tuesday.
Moran (2-1) allowed one run while striking out four and walking three to get the win.
Trailing 1-0, the Voyagers took the lead for good with four runs in the first inning. Zangari hit a two-run home run and Ian Dawkins hit a solo home run en route to the three-run lead.
The Voyagers later tacked on a run in both the third and sixth innings. In the third, Zangari hit a solo home run, while Logan Sowers hit an RBI single in the sixth.
Matt Leon (1-1) went 2 2/3 innings, allowing five runs and seven hits in the Pioneer League game. He also struck out two and walked one.
