JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) — Albee Weiss hit two of the Elizabethton Twins’ season-high five home runs in a 15-1 win over the Johnson City Cardinals on Tuesday.
Hunter Lee, Ryan Jeffers and Michael Davis also homered for the Twins.
The home runs by Weiss, both solo shots, came in the fifth off Edwar Ramirez and in the seventh off Junior Gonzalez.
Blair Lakso (3-0) got the win with three innings of scoreless, four-hit relief while Johnson City starter Tommy Parsons (1-1) took the loss in the Appalachian League game.
Michael Perri tripled and singled for the Cardinals.
