President Trump said Wednesday all the good news about the economy caused the stock market to take a dive.

“In the ’old days,’ when good news was reported, the Stock Market would go up. Today, when good news is reported, the Stock Market goes down. Big mistake, and we have so much good (great) news about the economy!” Mr. Trump tweeted.

The stock market has seen a volatile few days recently, plunging more than 1,000 points Monday, then rebounding to above 25,000 early Wednesday.

The White House has touted the record-breaking stock market as part of the confidence investors have in the Trump presidency, and attributed the recent drop to a correction after such a high peak.
