ST. ALBANS, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont woman has died after being hit by a car in a drug store parking lot.

Police say 75-year-old Nancy Willett, of St. Albans, was walking in the Rite Aid parking lot on Thursday afternoon when she was hit. Authorities say she suffered critical head injuries and died later at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

WCAX-TV reports that police have not released the name of the driver and say an investigation is ongoing.
