Sen. Marco Rubio said Wednesday the U.S. knows more than enough to be sure that Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was tied to the slaying of journalist Jamal Khashoggi — and warned that the Saudi royal will continue to drag America into trouble.

“He’s going to, frankly, pull us into a war one day with some recklessness,” the Florida Republican said on CNN’s “New Day.”

Mr. Rubio, a member of both the Senate Foreign Relations and Intelligence committees, said it is virtually impossible to conceive that the crown prince was removed from the situation.

“Saudi Arabia is not some decentralized government that acts with all sorts of people acting independently,” he said.

His comments came the morning after CIA Director Gina Haspel briefed some senators on her agency’s findings on the Saudi government’s role in killing and dismembering Mr. Khashoggi. Several key senators came out of that meeting certain the crown prince was involved.

Mr. Rubio called for public limits to be set and warned that otherwise, Saudi Arabia will continue to “test” the alliance.
