HELENA, Mont. (AP) - Police in Helena have released the name of a 77-year-old woman who died after being hit by a car while crossing a street on the north side of the city.

The Independent Record reports Dixie Hargreaves of Helena died of injuries suffered when she was hit by a car just before 8 p.m. Saturday.

The Lewis and Clark County coroner’s office says Hargreaves died of blunt force injuries.

The woman was crossing the street with two other people. The other pedestrians weren’t hurt.

Assistant Police Chief Steve Hagen said Sunday the investigation continues and officials hadn’t decided whether any citations should be issued.
